The Teams

We deliver our products and outputs through six service teams. Staff contact details are listed in full here.

The Archive and Library Team provides the authoritative, permanent archive of the historic environment of Wales.

The Data Services Team delivers excellent data services that ensure effective online information about the historic environment of Wales.

The Recording and Investigation Team delivers thematic projects of investigation that develop knowledge and understanding, high-quality documentation of outstanding heritage assets and heritage assets at risk, and impartial, expert advice to decision makers.

The Reconnaissance Team ensures that previously unknown heritage assets are identified and where appropriate proposed to Cadw for statutory protection.

The Public Engagement Team produces accessible and authoritative publication and communication that promotes understanding and engagement, ensures the public, educators and decision makers are aware of the resources available, and promotes innovation and excellence.

The Strategy and Resources Team ensures that the Royal Commission is an economic and effective organisation.

Projects are delivered by time-limited Project Teams that coordinate contributions from each of the service teams, some with additional, dedicated staff.
