Roles and Responsibilities

The Royal Warrant allows for the appointment of eleven Commissioners, including the Chairperson, who have individual and collective responsibility to the Assembly to provide effective leadership for the Royal Commission in defining and developing its strategic direction and setting objectives. They ensure that the Commission’s activities are conducted in an efficient and effective manner and promote high standards of regularity, propriety and value for money in the use of public finance.

The Commissioners ensure that strategies are developed for meeting the Royal Commission’s overall objectives in accordance with the policies and priorities established by the National Assembly and monitor the performance of the Royal Commission in meeting its aims, objectives and performance targets.
